When the going gets tough, You just gotcha keep some Faith!

Many a times we face extreme adverse situations. You know the ones where nothing seems to be working out, all seems to be messed up and you feel you are inside a tunnel and there is no opening at the other end. There always is an opening… you got to find it. And how soon you find that opening depends on you; your outlook and your believe! Most of the times we concentrate our energies so much on the darkness that even if we hope to we can’t see the light! The more we concentrate on the darkness more it stays on with us. At this moment you need to stop feeling down and turn your energies into positive feelings! The one that will make you feel happy, good and awesome - although nothing is! You feel that you have come out of the negative situation. Only when you do that you will start seeing the light… the opening through the dark tunnel.

Usually it’s difficult for human beings to see through an adverse situation all by him. It’s difficult to feel happy when something really bad is happening – a relation breaking up, a job problem, money problem, health problem, whatever it may be. So we seek solace in the difficult time in God! Irrespective of what religion you follow, purpose of all religions is same! To provide calm when you are in the deepest turmoil. Once you are in calm internally, automatically your physical surroundings also come to peace and you are out of the difficult situation - just like that!

So what if you are an atheist? Well as long as you at least believe in yourself you don’t have much to worry! It takes a really strong man to always believe in self and see him through a difficult phase but as long as you can do that you don’t have a thing to worry! Rather you are really blessed.

As long as you are alive you will be challenged with all types of situations.. good, bad and ugly! So through all the times keep up the faith and always count your blessings! :)

Women's Day

At a time when young India celebrate Valentine’s Day and Friendship Day more than Republic and Independence Day, greatly influenced by the Western culture a question comes to my mind. Will they celebrate International Women’s Day with the same enthusiasm?

A country which needs no inspiration from the West to give their due respect to the Women; India has always bowed down in front of Goddess Durga, Laxmi, Saraswati and Kali. But somewhere done the line, although we have continued to pray the deity but so have we started to show disrespect for all women in our lives. From female foeticide to dowry to domestic violence to rape, you will find all kinds of crime happening in the society around you. Still how many times have you raised your voice against these crimes? Eve teasing is considered part and parcel of being a women in India. If you are a women and complain about eve teasing, I won’t be surprised if you are questioned about what you were wearing and various such derogatory questions.

The country needs a radical change today. A change in thinking. A change from where a man is allowed to disrespect women. A change from where a man takes the women in his life for granted. A change in the thinking that it’s a women’s duty to do all household chores even if she might be professionally successful. The change needs to come in our homes first and then only it will reflect in the society and then the country. Till that time we will be in the shackles, living in fear of being molested in the workplace or the road or the pub. Till that day celebrating one day as Women’s day is of no use.
